	Reglass-Patente Die italienische Firma Reglass ist unumstritten die Innovationsschmiede in Sachen Carbon. Sei es für die Raumfahrt, den Profi-Radsport oder hochwertige Angelruten; Reglass überrascht immer wieder aufs Neue mit Verfahrenstechniken und innovativen Ausstattungsdetails. Diesen technischen Vorsprung nutzt auch Colmic und lässt bei Reglass seine Top-Modelle nach eigenen Vorstellungen fertigen! Mittlerweile ist die Liste der Innovationen so lang, dass wir sie hier einmal zu erklären versuchen:
	Sun Core: Carbon mit Sun Core Beschichtung ähnelt optisch einer metallischen Oberfäche von grau-silberner Farbgebung. Sun Core wird im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Lacken ohne Grundierung direkt auf das Carbon aufgetragen, wo durch das Gesamtgewicht minimiert wird. Darüber hinaus bietet Sun Core einen verbesserten Schutz des Carbons vor mechanischen Beschädigungen und erhöht die Gleitfähigkeit sowohl in trockenem als auch in nassem Zustand. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist der Schutz vor Erwärmung des Materials durch Sonneneinstrahlung, das Carbon erhitzt sich um bis zu 40% weniger als herkömmliches schwarzes Carbon.
	Magic Step: Dieses Verfahren wird in den ersten beiden Teilen der Rute angewandt um eine geringere Reibung des Gummizuges am Carbon zu erzielen. Das innere der beiden Teile ist mit einer Art Spirale versehen, der Gummizug gleitet somit nicht auf der Gesamtfläche sondern nur auf der leicht erhöhten Spirale.
	Power Zone: Alle Rutenteile mit Ausnahme der ersten 5 Teile sowie der regulären Handteile sind an ihren am stärksten belastbaren Stellen mit „Power Zone“ markiert. Dies gewährleistet zum einen die Steifheit und das geringe Gewicht der Rute im Ganzen, als auch die Belastbarkeit an einzelnen Rutenteilen wenn diese „in die Hand“ genommen werden. Fusion:
	Das Fusion-Patent findet Anwendung im zweiten Teil, an dem durch eine Kombination zweier unterschiedlicher Materialen sowohl die gewünschte Steifheit als aber auch eine maximale Elastizität erreicht wird.
	Anti-Friction-System: Während der Herstellung erhält die Oberfläche des Carbons durch mikroskopische Einwirkung eine veränderte Oberflächenstruktur. Diese neue Oberfläche bietet folgende Vorteile: Gleitfähigkeit und Schutz vor mechanischer Beschädigung ohne Gewichtssteigerung.
	Teflon Joint: Durch die Verwendung von Teflon an den oberen Enden der Rutenteile wird eine bessere Gleitfähigkeit erzielt. Das besonders bei nassen Ruten gefürchtete „Zusammenkleben“ der Rutenteile ist somit ausgeschlossen.
	Clean Caps: Diese aus EVA gefertigten Teile werden in das obere Ende der Rutenteile eingesetzt und verhindern beim einschieben in das nächste Teil mechanische Beschädigungen durch aufeinander treffen der Teile und reinigen darüber hinaus die innere Steckverbindung.

WARP SPEED - NEW 2005

Top of the range of Milo collection of long poles, the Warp Speed has been exclusively designed for top-level competitors or experienced anglers already mastering long pole fishing basics. Featuring an actual length of 14.50 m with the tip cut off, this pole is superbly balanced and offer an incredibly stiff and fast action. Constructed from super high modulus carbon with micro crystal radial system, each section (except for the tip and butt section ) is obtained with a totally new made-in-Italy manufacturing process designed by Reglass: the "SUN CORE". The new process creates a closely-woven texture of metallic microparticles incorporated at molecular level in the blank structure resulting in a sort of “shell” which protects the surface of each blank surface without increasing its weight. Furthermore this unique innovation improves the blank gliding qualities and rejects the sunrays thus keeping the blank temperature low thus maintaining the pole action unaltered over time.
The "LINEAR JOINT" and "MAGIC STEPS" systems complete the range of innovations introduced for 2005.
The first innovation consists in a linear reduction in diameters , which smoothes down the area around the joints on the butt section through to the section 6. This lends the pole a uniform tapering which enhances rigidity and improves gliding when shipping and unshipping.
The other innovation is a patented system featuring a long series of micro steps in the form of small rings integrated in the tip and top section which improves dramatically the sliding capacity of any diameter elastics minimising friction including when retrieving small fish.

THE ONE

This year's leading pole has nothing to do with the past years'models. Mandrels have been changed ,a higher modulus carbon has been used and all finishes have been improved. In other words, we have not improved an existing model, but have created a conceptually new pole. The new model is characterised by an accentuated taper of all sections, increasingly lower diameters and different lengths of the sections. The pole has been accurately calibrated gradually modifying diameters and taper until a really revolutionary designed has been obtained. SPIDER TOLEDO 5001

This is the finest pole of the Toledo range. While the prototype dates back to 1999, the pole was first placed on the marketonly in 2000. At the time, however, the fishing world was not yet ready for such a jewel, which, therefore, went unnoticed. In 2001 the new Toledo Carp 3001 broke all records becoming the top seller for both the year 2001 and 2002. In 2003 the pole has been further improved making the Spider Pole Toledo Carp a standard for big carp fishing. European magazines have enthusiastically reported catches in excess of 25 kilos. In Grenoble and in Italy, the pole has reconfirmed its reputation as a dedicated tool for match anglers. Further improved in weights and diameters, without compromising strength and performance, the new 5001 is the worthy heir of the Spider Pole. It comes with a strong holdall and a cupping kit.

SPIDER POLE

The spider's web thickens: it becomes stronger, stiffer, more and more treacherous... until it leaves no escape. The cunning spider has changed his hunting strategy, he does no longer content himself with the prey, now he wants to eliminate also any possible rivals and become the undisputed ruler … of the match ground. This idea came to us during the processing of a totally new high modulus carbon chain, more linear and solid than those used until today for the construction of long poles. Now the challenge is open and labs have started to produce such rigid and compact, yet lightweight and strong, blanks that any other pole produced so far will fade in comparison. The new component has been incorporated in the carbon mix used for the construction of the Spider Pole and the result is great: the pole at full length stays perfectly straight and does not bend at all, not even in the tip section. The rigidity increases progressively as the spine of the pole is aligned during assembly. This pole is Milo's answer to the demands of the most technical match anglers, those who have been long dreaming of a tool that would allow them to strike with a simple movement of the wrist. This new series of poles is therefore dedicated to expert match anglers who can appreciate and make the bast of such technologically advanced tools. The new series leaves the technical features which made the Spider Pole so popular last year unaltered : actual length at 14,50 m, reduced diameters, ultra-low weights, reliability, anti-friction characteristics, Clean Cup System, reinforced joints, anti-jam system at the end of each section, Teflon Joints and woven carbon reinforcement bands on the joints.

RACE

The super long pole of this year is not exactly a tool accessible to everybody. This is due in part to its cost but above all to the extreme rigidity of the blanks obtained using a super high modulus carbon with crystal radial system. This long pole has been specifically designed for top-level match anglers mastering perfectly this style of fishing. Race forgives no mistakes and responds with utmost precision to each move of the fish as well as to each command of the angler. Such a pole provides great sport and the pleasure lies in the capacity of keeping at any time the situation under control. On this pole the weight and diameter have been reduced to a minimum, not just diminishing the quantity of material contained in the blank as this would weaken the pole structure, but "playing" upon the balance and the different rate of taper of the sections. The pole thus obtained is strong in structure but incredibly lightweight in the fishing action. Last but not least, the pole reaches the actual length of 14.50 m without cutting the tip. The weight of the fibre, without painting, is 990 grams. The pole comes complete with a full range of accessories. An extension, corresponding to section 8 which replaces the original becoming a strong butt at 11 metres. A one-meter reversible extension that can be used as a butt at 13.00 and, mounted on the 14.50 brings the pole to an overall length of 15.50 metres. Two woven carbon reinforcement wraps at the butt end exactly on the point where the elbow rests. A stiff padded holdall of the new Classic Collection series. The spider inspired the ancients who made the first fishing nets similar to cobwebs and spider is among the most subtle and cunning hunters on earth. This is how the match angler, for whom this new series of high-tech long poles is intended, should be: deceitful in presenting the bait, efficient in attracting the pray into his "hunting territory", quick and precise in catching it. The offered tool allows all this and it's up to the user to make the best of these characteristics. A range of low-diameter, ultra-lightweight, perfectly balanced poles incorporating all the features which characterise Milo top series: anti-friction system, clean cap system, joint reinforcements, anti-jam system at the end of each section. The ultra-high modulus carbon which has been used to obtain the molecular structure of which the whole series is composed, is among the purest available ensuring flawless workmanship. The new series includes a choice of three models which belong, for features and performance, to three different price ranges. The model identified by the highest number is the most performing and expensive of the series, then the price diminishes as the number of the model decreases. The size of 14,50 refers to the actual length of the blank without tip, extensions, pumps or other.
